Are you a family tradition?
In part. Most of the Admins are blood family or trusted teachers,
mentors, guides or fellow students. The members and students of the Covenstead are of many faiths, and though much of
what is taught here comes from the family, there is much more that has been graciously given to us by talented and worthy
colleagues.
Do you cast spells?
Some of us do and some of us don't.
Do you do readings?
Some of us do, some times. Contact us about making an appointment.
Will you cast spells for/on us?
Maybe. It depends on a lot of things, like exactly what you want
and why, and who you talk to and when, and how.
I'm a beginner in Witchcraft, Wicca or some other magical persuit and
I'm looking for tips and advice, or I'm unclear about something. What should I do?
By all means, ask. The Administrators are hand-picked based on their
experience. If you can't find us, consider joining as a student to access the classrooms and find some useful information
there, or browse the student library for texts.
I'm on Paltalk and I don't see your chat room, where are
you?
We're located in the public chat rooms in the Religion and
Theology category, in the WIcca sub-category under the name The Covenstead. If
you're looking at the Wicca sub-category and the room name isn't there, it's likely momentarily closed. Check back soon, and
it should be open.
I came into your room and there was only one person on,
and music was playing through the speakers. What gives?
Khalin, the Covenstead's creator, plays music through his sound
card when the room goes quiet, or during the Covenstead's sleeping hours, which are rare indeed. The audio feed has been lovingly
dubbed "Covenstead Radio" and keeps the energy of the room alive.
I've been bounced/banned from the room, what's up with that?
You probably did something that was against the chat room's policy.
It is an R-rated room intended to be a home and a school for Wiccans, Witches and students of the magickal arts. It is not
a place to preach, degrade, debate, condemn, threaten, bible thump, flame, harass, or otherwise be obnoxious. It is a place
to share information, to learn and to teach, and therefore to grow. If you believe you didn't deserve to be bounced or banned,
talk to one of the Admins over instant message and they will hear you out. Other times it is because your Paltalk client crashed,
or because there was a problem and your name was stuck in the chat room somehow, and bouncing you was the only way to free
you from the confines of your digital prison. When this happens, and it happens more often than you'd think, your name
is put on a list of bounced Pals who are banned for a twenty four hour period. In this case the Administrator is supposed
to take you off the bounce list so you can get back in. But sometimes they forget, and you should remind them to take you
off the list.
